backlinks from facebook indexing

 A backlink, by definition, is any link on a website that links back to your site. Because Facebook, as a social network, is a website at its core, then any link on a Facebook profile or page that leads people back to your business website is indeed a backlink. However, while a Facebook link might count as a backlink by definition, it's another matter entirely when considering how popular search engines, such as Google and Bing, rank websites.
